Cask at The Colchester Winter ale festival 2026, Colchester, Essex. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium bubbly beige head on top. Rich, roasty, malty, dark fruit, chocolate action. A rather tasty Essex mild, didn't realise the brewer was a one man band.

29/1/2026. Cask at the 17th Colchester Winter Ale Festival. Lovely pour. A very rich fruity mild. Hint of liquorice. Dried fruits. Very drinkable, full bodied mild. Excellent. Such a shame he’s stopping commercial brewing.
