Description
Fable Brewery was born out of a passion for the highest quality beer possible. Focusing on the concept of being sessionable and inclusive. Connecting with the community and providing something of value to the area around it.

Now, whilst maintaining our original values; Fable is back specialising in applying modern techniques to a traditional British way of brewing. All from our new home on Wallasea Island.

Using the latest industry leading products and ingredients our Head Brewer Sam is able to push flavour and aroma to new heights. Expect us to produce crispy Helles lagers, decadent Nitro Stouts and of course big juicy Hazy IPAs.

At Fable; we start a story every time we share a beer with friends. Join us and be a part of the next chapter.

Operated as a gypsy brewer 2017-2020. Relaunch as a microbrewery at new address with new branding, but same brewer, announced 24/10/2025.

7th November 2018
Hazy yellowish gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Smooth malts, mildly sweet, only a vague lager character. Mild softish. Modest citrus. Smooth semi dry finish. Clean and wet, goes down okay.

Bottle courtesy of Grumbo, thank you sir! Clear golden amber color off white head. Aroma of mixed berries. Taste is lightly bitter summer fruit, hi carbonation.

Bright and silly clean. So light and so drinkable. Really well-balance no tw nonsense. Excellent beer.

15th February 2018
Chelmsfaaarhd Winter Beer Fest. Cask in KEGS. Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Thin sweetish malts, touch of honey. Ripe citrus, orange and a little lemon. Mild floralness on the end and a little hop spice to boot. Tidy.

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! A almost clear dark golden beer with a mid-sized most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of citrus hops, toasted malt, resins. Taste of resinous hops, citrus, some pine, toasted malt, medium bitterness.

Many thanks to Grumbo for this bottle! Smooth mild beginning. Floral fresh with grainy hints. Easy to drink, round and smooth. The body is rich and full, hints of grain, floral fresh. Smooth, round and malty. Hints of floral hops over a grainy but sessionable body. Moderate bitter, round and sessionable.

Cask at the 2018 Chelmsford & Mid Essex Beer & Cider Festival. Pours pale amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel, biscuit, malt, citrus, hop and straw. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average carbonation.

Cask @ Chelmsford Beer Festival. Medium head with medium duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are fruits, malt, hops, caramel, hops and has a nice bitter finish.

Cask @ Chelmsford Beer & Cider Festival. Light hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and moderate hoppy - melon and flowers. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. 150218
