Growlers from Dryhop. Unfiltered orange-copper body, hinting at red but not quite. Thin, fading off-white head. I guess the pomegranate is in juice form...and really doesn’t add too much besides a juicy sweet slickness. The sumac is rather restrained as well, adding some mild cherry-lemon tones which work quite well with the Saison yeast. OK, doesn’t quite have the carbonation I’d hope for but maybe that is a growler thing.

Tap at Dryhop. Tasty, super sweet dessert Stout. Luscious chocolate tones, mild salt. Not unlike a Southern Tier beer, but a little more sessionable, as it should be at 6% I suppose. Tasty, but subdued. Nice.

Tap at Dryhop. Unfiltered orange-brown. More ginger than peanut butter. Off the wall flavors. Not really overly sweet like most peanut butter beers. Medium bodied, drinkable. Fruity ginger tones. The lactose adds some real nice smoothness. Solid offering. Very unique.

Tap at Dryhop. Hard for me to get fully behind the unruly yeast tendencies of a Belgian IPA. Lots of lemony Sorachi tones. Pretty bold and juicy for the style. Oddly has a lente-bock like earthy zesty finish, or maybe I’m searching too hard. A little sweet, a little too estery, unruly. Still great for the style. Nice finish. Lemony pine Sorachi notes.

Tap at Dryhop. Unfiltered deep amber-copper copper. Sort of dark for an IPA. Foamy, glass lacing head. This is an awesome IPA. Classical in its malt sensibilities, even had a lingering caramel brown caramel malt finish. The hop tones are superb. A little sweet, but works well on the palate. Juicy and sublime meets old school IIPA. Nice.

Tap at Dryhop and growler at home. Filtered, but still quite a thick, sweet malt base, the French malts shine I suppose. I suppose this is more Biere de Garde than Marzen at the end of the day. I really enjoy French malts, but this doesn’t really capture any stylistic qualities that I can really get behind. Sort of a clean brewed, malty mess. Toffee, caramel, maybe some light cherry tones from Amber malt. Different than most beers out there, but not quite nailing it.

Sample at The Green Lady. The beer pours a dark reddish-brown color with a medium light beige head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of tart fruit, yeast and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of red fruits, earthy yeast and rye malt. The finish is fruity with a raisin and yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.

Taster at Standard Market. Color is more amber brown than the usual IPA. Smell still has the good-sized load of piny and citrusy northwestern hops, but not enough to drain your sinuses, which can be a good thing. Taste is still big and hoppy, belying the milder hop nose. Slight toast of amber roast or Vienna malts that tries to hold the hops to a measure of respectability. It is sessionable, I’ll give it that, although the alcohol is just slightly higher than the average lawnmower beer. I guess the greater hop load forces you to sip rather than slam it, which aids in moderation.

Tap at Dryhop. Unfiltered cloudy malt tones. OK for the style. Kind of boring Ale yeast tones. An OK session beer, some pleasant orange tones in the hops. Not worthy of the bar price.
