Determined to find a way or make one, the idea of BLACK PLAGUE was founded to create a community, relationships, and great beer. BLACK PLAGUE began as an abstract idea about bringing people together over delicious beer… but it quickly became more than that. Doors opened in June 2017 and we have won multiple awards for our beers.

BLACK PLAGUE Brewing represents the misfits, renegades, underdogs, rebels, rule-breakers, nonconformists, hustlers, D-I-Yers, and all those who strive to be better, stand out from the crowd, and follow their true passion. Our mission is to provide deliciously fresh hand-crafted beer that emboldens a community around collaboration and inspiring creative self-expression – reminding us that death is certain, so we must live life to the fullest.

Can from Total Wine in Vacaville, CA. Pours dark amber with a large tan head. Malty/bready/toffee aroma. Med body or so. Flavor is toffeeish/bready with some hop that could be citrus. Bites a bit. Chocolate notes after awhile. Good for the style.

Can. Pours hazy golden, small of white head, decent lacing. Aroma is cooked vegetables, perfume, rotten fruit. shit. Flavor is light plus sweet, very light bitter. Medium body. This has got to be old as fuck. Lesson to new brewers; do not sell your canned IPA's to Total Wine. They don't give the tiniest shit and folks will think this crap is what your beer actually tastes like. The very definition of penny wise pound foolish.

Drunk at City Tacos by the SD ballpark. Hazy amber orange, full plastic cup, piney and full of lupulin. Sparkling citrusy on the tongue. Tasty, almost reminds me of tequila, maybe it's the setting. Should go well with these tacos!
