33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Black colour, light brown head. Aroma of hard roasted/burnt malts, ash, vodka, vegetable cooking water, bitter chocolate. Flavour isn’t much better imo, lots of agressive hard roasted malts, ash, vegetables, vodka, in the finish finally some nice coffee and moccha notes, alcohol. Medium-bodied. Unappealing RIS imo.

33cl bottle shared with Dutchdrebus. Very dark brown color with a deep dark red glare coming through when held into the light. Medium sized beige to slightly brownish colored, a bit creamy, fairly quickly diminishing head. Aroma has malts, slightly hops, slightly roasty and a hint of raisin. Taste malts, a bit roasty, nicely hopped, nicely bitter. Misses a bit body to be a real imperial stout imo. Not bad though.

Bottle @ home. Black colour with some ruby redness shining through, big beige head. Smells coffee, chocolate, sweet, roasty, raisins. Tastes chocolate, roasty, quite a lot of liquorice, liquorice wood.. I’m not really into liquorice (despite being Dutch), so that’s a downside for me. Medium to full body, long lasting liquorice taste and a good amount of carbo.
