Pint can pours with a murky deep mahogany colored body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up an array of notes like sweet thick dark malt syrup, molasses, a bit of spicy black strap molasses and then tootsie roll and dates thinly rimmed in bourbon and booze. Wow. The taste delivers a rich complex medley that's sweet earthy dates edged in spicy black strap molasses, sweet dark malts, a thin bourbon nuanced earthy ashy note and then tootsie roll sweetness. Wow. To midway this picks up additional thin facets of smooth bourbon booze and a decent level of booze warmth. The barrel treatment to beer balance is superb. This is hitting on all cylinders. Crazy good sipper. Wow. Thanks Alex! Wow, that ebone1988 character doesn't have a clue.

On tap at Flying Saucer - Raleigh, pours a hazy pale golden with a small white head. Aroma is very laid back, with just a touch of crisp watermelon. Flavour is similar, with crisp watermelon upfront, and a dry biscuity malt base. Could use more watermelon presence. Drinkable, but unexciting.

Pint can pours with a deep dark body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up bourbon, booze, chocolate fudge and then malts mixed with caramel. The taste delivers similar notes with boozy bourbon giving a little ground to chocolate and some malt sweetened dark roasted malts. Kind of on the barrel and boozy side. A little less time in the barrel should provide improved balance and flavor.
