The Aromas are crackers, yeast, and honey. Flavors are a little like nose, too sweet for a good traditional Saison. No Funk anywhere. A hint tart. Body is a bit watery. Not my favorite beer.

The Aromas Are Spice, old hops, malt and a hint Floral. Flavors are somewhat like nose, bold bittersweet, not a lot else going on. Carbonation might be a tad strong okay body with a finish like taste. Canned 6 months ago.

The Aromas are old hops, floral and a little pale malt. Has a nice long lasting off-white foamy head but the color is a dirty dishwater Amber. Flavors are bittersweet with decent balance, again the old hops and not a lot else. Slightly medicinal finish. Canned about 5 months ago.

Deeper copper and bronze coloured body with a thinnish, very fast-dying off-white head. Aroma of crisp grain, light hops, a dose of subdued caster sugar and a touch of light fruits. Medium-bodied; Assertive grainy malt with a larger yeast component than typical with some light sugars, a dose of toffee and caramelised sugars and a touch of hay and dry grasses on the very end. Aftertaste shows the more assertive malt, hop and dry notes than I expected with a good hop bitterness that shows some grapefruit, citrus fruit and a little grassy funk along with a touch of sweetness from caramelised sugars, toffee and grain - pretty nice and stronger than I expected. Overall, a very nice APA with a great balance between the hops and malt with a sweet finish and some drier grassy and herbal notes as well. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from the Kona Wine Market in Kailua-Kona, Hawai'i [Hawai'i island] on 29-December-2018 for US$2,99 sampled back at home on the mainland on the other end of the country in Washington on 02-May-2019.

Pure clear golden coloured body with a super thin, single centimetre tall pure white head that stays afloat for quite a while. Aroma of pure pale malts, biscuits, wheat, lactose and very little else - very bland in the nose, and probably, by design. Ultra Light-bodied; Super strong biscuity and grainy flavour at first with a wheat bite, some cereal and other fake malt notes and a dose of citrus and funk that shows up quite large near the end. Aftertaste shows some lactose, cream, light malts, wheat and very little else - this is fairly mild throughout and not showing anything nice at the end. Overall, a pretty plain and standard cream ale, as sort-of expected, but a bit too plain and ordinary for me, and not showing enough flavour one way or another (malt or hops) to make this worthwhile or 'good'. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased a few hours ago from Whaler's General Store in Waikiki, Honolulu, O'ahu, Hawai'i on 27-December-2018 for US$2,49 sampled in my hotel room here in Waikiki on 27-December-2018.

Relatively clear pale golden coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of grass, hay, lemons and a touch of wheat with some coriander seed added. Light-bodied; Sharp honey flavours dominate with some mild sweetness, but then fade to a lemony and slightly citrusey flavour without much backbone at all - some light wheat and biscuity/grainy malt noticeable a few seconds later. Aftertaste shows the grassy and very herbal component with a touch of hay and yeast, but more of the pure citrus and honey that goes down thin and relatively unencumbered. Overall, a decent beer that shows more of a cream ale or a golden ale than a saison at all, given the grassy and dry flavours are fairly minimal in comparison to the larger malt, citrus and honey flavours. Good to try, but not a good representation of the style by any means, and not worth searching out, of course. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whaler's General Store from Kuhio [at Lewers] in Waikiki, Honolulu, O'ahu, Hawai'i on 27-December-2018 for US$2,49 sampled in my hotel room just a few hours later here on Waikiki, Honolulu.

Nice, slightly hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish, single to perhaps two centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of grass, light passionfruit (lilikoi they call it here), guava, a touch of pine and resin, but a good underlying malt backbone make this smell quite nice. Medium-bodied; Assertive nutty and biscuity flavour at first definitely shows some amarillo or el dorado hops with a heavy backbone from the malt and a light bitterness from hops make this much more like 'old' IPAs of the day instead of the new, low bitterness, fruit-driven models. Aftertaste shows even more of the bitterness, ranging from the earthy notes to more nutty, biscuity and dare I say it - foreign (English hops in here it almost seems). Overall, a nice IPA that is a good addition to the beer scene here, with some more traditional IPA notes that still go down quite easily, but leave a great, 'old-school' (I'm sad to write that, as I'm getting old, but IPAs are getting 'new') bitterness from the hops. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased a few hours ago from Whaler's General Store on Kuhio [at Lewers] in Waikiki, Honolulu, O'ahu, Hawai'i on 27-December-2018.

Very nice hazy golden and bronzed coloured body with a smooth, barely single centimetre tall pure white head, but showing some minute movement on the bottom and sides of the glass. Aroma of wheat, a light dose of citrus, some fairly minimal coriander seed freshness with some smother honey notes as well. No real coconut at all to speak of here, at least in the nose. Light to Medium-bodied; Sharp flavour from the wheat with a light grassy and dry note from grain and some softer fruits noticeable a bit later. Aftertaste shows some dry wheat, a touch of grasses and light herbs with only a bit of anything at else coming through - just some smooth flavours with the wheat by far the strongest. Overall, a pretty standard hef with some mellow notes, a dose of honey and no coconut notes at all coming from this one - pretty mellow throughout. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from the Whaler's Convenience Store on Kuhio [at Lewers] in Waikiki, Honolulu, O'ahu on 26-December-2018 for US$2,49 sampled a day after coming to celebrate Christmas here on the Islands, on 27-December-2018.
