Smooth, slightly juicy and tropical fruity with some citrus, herbal hops, grapefruit, hints of bitterness and dankness. Okay

375mL bottle, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of extremely rich vanilla beans, big bourbon barrels, and molasses. Flavour is extremely rich, with intense vanilla beans, followed by deep bourbon barrels, and sazerac cocktail notes that don’t overtake too much. The vanilla is the highlight, held together by the high-quality base; and the sazerac and bourbon work together very well. Lovely.

473mL can, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Nose is full of cardboard, mint, and some earthiness. Flavour is similar, with cardboard, fresh mint, and some earthiness. Too old, but probably wasn’t good fresh.

On tap at Rorschach, pours jet black with a small brown head. Nose is full of intense tequila barrels, molasses, dark sugars, and a touch of roast. Flavour is largely a function of the tequila barrels, with notes of agave, dark sugars, and molasses. Low roast, moderate sugars, with a silky, oily palate. Wonderful.

Can from the LCBO. Cloudy medium orange under a large, lingering, rocky, off white head that leaves spotty lace. Bright citrus peel, grapefruit, mango, pineapple with some resin and light grains. Light melon sweetness with a medium pineapple and orange peel bitterness. Mouth is medium creamy with slightly soft carbonation and a juicy finish.

Bottle from the brewery. Jet black, oily pour, lots of lacing and a small brown head. Aroma is a blast of espresso, molasses, burnt brown sugar, and boozy vanilla. Mouthfeel is silky, oily, and full, with a very soft carb. Finish is highly bitter, semi sweet, loads of coffee, and light pie crust, and boozy, burnt brown sugary bread.
