Can: Poured a deep blue/purple-ish color ale with a large foamy head with medium retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of deep blueberry notes with some tart notes and gross sweet vanilla notes. Taste is a strange mix of deep sweet vanilla notes, loads of blueberry with some tart notes. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation. Not a big fan of this one with too much lactose.

Can: Poured a clear bright golden color ale with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of strong tart/sour notes with some floral coffee with some sweet vanilla notes is quite unique. Taste is a mix of strong sour notes with some deep floral coffee notes with no bitterness and some overly sweet vanilla notes. Body is pretty full for style with excellent carbonation. Interesting experience but not something I would revisit on a regular basis.

Tasting at Brian's, can
Pale blond colour, hazy. Dry, moderately spir, citrusy, lemony.
Balanced, worked well as palate cleanser for the tasting session.

(Bottle sample @ Witchstock 2018, Toronto, Sept 29/18) Pours lightly hazy yellow gold with a white head. Notes of bright juicy acidic lemon, citrus zest, cereal grains, quite some oaky woodiness and soft vanilla, some mixed fruit quality in the background that's hard to place, moderate Bretty funk and leather, drying into the finish, oak and grains present, lingering slightly peppery herbal bitterness. Light to medium body, average carbonation. Refreshing but not simple, with a rustic quality that gives depth. My experience with this brewery so far is very promising.

(Bottle sample @ Witchstock 2018, Toronto, Sept 29/18) Pours deep purplish-red with a pink head. Notes of masses of fresh-crushed juicy raspberries and equally bright floral perfumed hibiscus, a moderately tart lactic bite and some nuanced farmyard wet-hay funk, touch of juicy sweetness, minerals, moderate oaky notes and some distinct lightly tannic drying, berry seeds into the finish with some peppery phenols and wood, a little vinous quality to the lingering berries. Medium-bodied with nice active effervescence. A real winner from Half Hours, nuanced complexity to go with big full raspberry flavour.

Can. Very pale, no head. There is definitely some pedio on here, not a whole lot of nuance. Tart, grapefruity, so it's ok, I guess the tart-hoppy thing isn't hitting this time.
