500mL bottle, pours a murky, dirty orangey brown with a small white head. Aroma is quite earthy, with light funky brett, and light stone fruitiness. Flavour is quite funky and dirty / earthy., with loads of dirty / soil-like notes and.moderate brett funk. Quite dirty, but it's nice.

Bottle: Poured a clear light brown color ale with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of cereal notes with some light residual sugar notes is nice. Taste is a nice mix of cereal notes with some residual sugar notes and some light dry fruits notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Nice and easily drinkable Belgian ale.

On tap at barVolo, Toronto. Clear gold pour with a white head. Light tart aroma. Flavor is also a light tartness, a bit herbal. It’s decent, but pretty light.

(On tap @ Folly, Jan 13 2016) Pours clear deep red with a lingering cream head and lace. Aroma is tart cherry, wood, slight sherry vinegar, caramel. Mid sweet and tart, not very sour, wood and cherry and red fruit. A bit of vinegar and funkiness. Woody notes the finish. Light bitterness. Light body with no carb. Definitely more Flanders red than anything, though not traditional either. Lacks the depth of the best of those examples. Impression of wood without barrel ageing is interesting to me.

(On tap @ Folly, Jan 13 2016) Pours black with a ring of whitish head and lace. Aroma of soy, dry roast, coffee, molasses, chocolate. Flavour is odd. A tart sweetness like orange juice. Light coffee. Dry roast, sharp and a bit acidic. Finish is medium dry with an odd funky note and some ashy sort of roast. Kind of harsh. Lightish body with soft carb. Nose wasn’t bad if not thrilling, but I really didn’t enjoy the flavour and had to push through it. Would not drink again.

(On tap @ Folly, Jan 13 2016) Pours really hazy medium orange with a lingering white head and lace. Aroma of sweet peach, mango and citrus, kind of leafy, a bit of caramel and hay. Flavour has lots of orange juice and mandarin, quite bright and citrusy. A bit of funky underpinnings. Bready touches in the finish, leafy hops, fairly light bitterness. Medium bodied, average carb. Pretty nice malty, hoppy take on a farmhouse. Enjoyable.

(On tap @ Folly, Jan 13 2016) Pours clear pale gold with a permanent white head and lace. Aroma sourish lemon, orange, underripe pit fruit, dried herbs, some spices, slight candy sugar and grains. Flavour is mildly tart and moderately sweet with some orange juice, lemon peel, pale malts, light bread, white pepper, dried herbs. Finish is a bit sweet and a bit tart with grains and herbs. No alcohol. Medium bodied with fairly high but soft carb. Nice enough, but I didn’t really get much farmhouse character here, just a tripel that’s on the tart side.

(On tap @ Folly, Jan 13 2016) Pours really hazy medium gold with white moderate head lingering with lace. Aroma of green mango, grapefruit, really leafy and a little spicy. Softly sweet and fruity. Palate is lightly sweet and fruit forward. Mango, a little pineapple, grapefruit, spicy leafy hops. Finish is softly bitter with lots of leafy, herbal spiciness and lingering skin. Very nice. Medium bodied with soft carb. My favourite Folly beer so far, a good complementary blend of hop and yeast character.

(On tap @ Folly, Jan 14 2016) Pours lightly hazy orange gold, fairly large lasting white head, lace. Aroma of nectarine, a bit of banana, citrus, a bit of sweet malt, a bit of grass and hay. Flavour matches the nose, just off dry, a bit of nectarine flesh and especially skin. A bit of grapefruit peel. Grass and hay in the finish, bit bitter, a little malt for sweetness. Slight grain. Medium body with average carb. Nice, not a huge standout but it’s a fairly good farmhouse with fruity hints.
