We create craft beer experiences – we like to think we meet each of our customers where they are at on their craft beer journey. We do this by focusing on quality and consistency (like the well-trained engineers we are) and by crafting our products with purpose and intention. We brew a wide variety of styles and we believe we have a beer for everyone, even those of you who think you don’t like beer. We design beers to challenge your assumptions, and to honour traditional styles. We love what we do and where we live, and we love helping people like you find a local beer that you will love.
We were not always beer geeks – we have been on our own journey with craft beer. We started brewing in lobster pots in the backyard and fermenting in carboys in the living room (which occasionally meant yeast clumps on the ceiling)…and when we started drinking beer at least one of us mixed it with Clamato juice.

22 oz. bottle, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma is old school, with dry roasted malt, some dry cocoa, and light earthiness. Flavour is likewise old school, with plenty of dry roasted malt, earthiness, and gentle cocoa. Very old school in a good way -- dry, roasty, and hearty. Excellent.

473mL can. Pours dark brown with light beige head. Aroma has roasted malt, light sweetness. Flavour has some toasty English malts and some earthy spiciness, gentle bitterness. Solid strong english ale.

473mL can, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of English malt, toasted bread, and a touch of caramel. Flavour is very malty in the English category, with lots of dry toasted caramel, dry toffee, and bready malt. Real nice English malty ale, and quite a bit of depth for a lower ABV English ale.

473mL can. Pours clear gold with minimal white head. Aroma has light pine and grainy malts. Flavour has a bit of pine, orange peel, grainy malts. Meh.

Poured from 650mL bottle (bottled Mar 2018) . Orangey amber with small off white head. Lots of figs, some dark fruits, light hop bitterness, not much of any chardonnay. Okay.

Amber-brown, hazy, The aroma has a nice winey character, with some datey, figgy barley wine notes. On the palate, it's got a lot of bitterness, some leafy hop, alcohol, and a few balancing sugars. The chardonnay doesn't come through as much on the palate, and I probably would have liked it to. It's just a touch and overpowered by the bitterness.

Bottled in March 2018. 650mL bottle, pours a deep dark reddish mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out plenty of dark dried fruits, gentle buttery Chardonnay, and toffee. Flavour is dry for the style, with lots of toffee, bready malt, and buttery Chardonnay. Quite dry, yet malty and bready toffee finish. Good stuff. --- Beer merged from original tick of Fisticuffs on 09 Dec 2018 at 21:48 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 5. Original review text: 22 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma is quite murky, with earthy notes, Chardonnay and bready malt. Flavour is rather muted and obscured, with bready malt, some fusel alcohols, and white wine. Not very cohesive or clean. Meh.

Tap @ Shipwright Brewing Company, Lunenburg. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are tropical fruits, bitter hops, flowers, malt and has a nice bitter finish.
Pretty middling to subpar beer. Just acrid and somewhat stale like it’s been near frozen and thawed many times. Muddy and bland. Costco adventkal
