OK, this as a tap at the source in Carey. Pink watermelon juice eye. Smells like watermelon if not a tad artificial. Nice thin pond scum creamy thin head. Almost flat on the palate. The artificial somewhat caries over to taste. This stuff is different, not sure if its really a gose or not. Not as tart nor salty as most well made gose. More like an average typical fruit beer if you ask me. About average, if not less than average for a fruit beer. Not bad, JMHO.

This was one of the better drafts I had at this location. It has a slight mild sweet perfume nose. Clear pale eye. First swig is fairluy friendly up front. Yes, comes across like any other american cheap pale lager: Well mannered and easy to drink. A little hay in there. Decent co2 as well. No ill character and a decent session. Its just not as cheap as the same similar friendly macro lagers.

Tap at source. Big and black. Nice tan head. Good roasty nose. Completely flat on the initial uptake. Quite burnt bitter. Nose of an impy stout but not the same taste. A little boozy. Ill mannered for a stout.

Tap at the source in Carey. Clear pale with a slight pilz nose. Good carbonation. Actually, from the start, I'm thinking this must be a pilsner; especially from the flavor an the pils bite. Very disappointing because I think the server got the taps mixed up, WTF? This has no real similarity to a fest, nor does it have the color or taste of nose of a festbier. Go figger. Come on mr. server, get with it. Or, perhaps its just a bad example of an oktoberest? Whatever. Disappointing to say the least.

Roast and coffee. Caramel and a little booze. Choclate. Black oily pour without much head or lacing. Bittersweet and tangy end. Mostly bitter though. Quite nice. Tap at Doug's Deli. 938417
