From tap at Monyo Tap House 04.02.25. Clear amber mahogany. Sweet aroma and taste of cherry jam, sweet pale malt, some syrup, amber malt and more sweet cherry jam. A bit on the sweet side. I suspect that tap room mixed up this beer with the ruby decade with sour cherries. I asked twice about that, but the barmen insisted I was served the right beer. They were kind enough to serve me another glass of the same, so I didn’t feel like being too argumentative. Well, anyway, that’s another good reason to be back tomorrow to try the other one. And perhaps a few more…
Uodate. I came back the next day, and the two anniversary ales on tap are different in terms of their fruit or berry flavour. The other one tastes even more of cherry jam, and in comparison, there is some passion fruit in aroma, taste and aftertaste in this one. I’m still not sure id they had mixed up their tap lines yesterday or if my tast buds are in a different shape today. But I still tast the cherries.
