Description
Crooked Run is a brewery in Loudoun County, Virginia. We started back in 2013 in a 600 sq ft space in Leesburg. Now, we have a ten barrel brewery and taqueria, where we produce many different beers for a thriving taproom with great food, great people, and great music. You can find our beer around the DMV and at all the best beer bars. It took a lot of work and love to get here, and we're very happy to be able to share what we love with you.

Draft at the source. Poured a nearly pitch black color, with a small off-white head. Aroma was notes of light chocolate, some licorice, dried fruits. Flavor was roasted malts, with dried fruit, character of dried cherries. I probably should have let this one warm a bit, as it got real interesting towards the end. Alcohol almost completely hidden - I’ll check this one out again real soon if I can snag some of it around the area.

Flavor was light, sweet caramel notes - very tasty for a very low abv beer - quite refreshing. Would love to try this one again in the throes of summer when it’s 100 degrees.

32oz growler I picked up at Whole Foods in Falls Church. Pours an opaque black with some foamy, brown head. Nose has a lot of molasses, toast, some earth, cocoa nibs, licorice, some umami, some dried fruit, raisins, currants. Flavor has some soy, roasted mushroom, a flick of smoke, molasses, licorice, toast, some mild fruit, a little dried blueberry, some cherry, some raisin, caramel. Full bodied, dry finish. Very interesting.
