Bottle. A- Malty, slightly roasty, peat. A- Brown color, cloudy liquid, beige head. T- Malty, bland. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish. O- Pretty damn boring and not much going on at all. Like I couldn’t even come up with any half decent descriptors. I’ve officially decided Empyrean is the worst brewery in Nebraska.

Bottle. A- Subway bread, doughy, malty, subtle caramel, peat. A- Amber orange color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Subway bread, malty, peat. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bready finish. O- Tastes and smells like a liquid version of Subway’s wheat bread. Just odd. I’m really debating on whether I hated this or just thought it was alright. Either way I didn’t love it, but if you like liquid bread this may be a solid choice for ya.

Bottle. A- Oranges, gummies, citrus, juicy, subtle caramel, slightly bitter, spices. A- Orange color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Citrus, tangerines, bitter, biscuits, caramel, strong spices. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly bitter finish. O- Not too shabby. Even had it a good month after the best by date. Lots of juicy citrus on the nose that fades with the head and turns into more of a caramel aroma. The taste is pretty balanced with a little bit of a strong spice taste.

Bottle. A- Coffee, mocha, cocoa, sweet, roasty. A- Black color, black liquid, tan head. T- Mocha, slightly bitter, malty, coffee, sweet, roasty. P- Full body, slightly thin texture, average carbonation, dry finish. O- I really really wanted to love this one. But I’m just not completely sold. The aroma was great. Smelled very very coffee like. Lots of roastiness and mocha. The body was beautiful too. The taste and palate however left some to be desired. The taste was of mocha and coffee and was very dry. However it was quite sweet almost cloying and somewhat unbalanced. I also detected no barrel aging what so ever. For most people this going to be a middle of the road beer but if you are a fan of Starbucks types of coffee you will probably really like it. This is a hit or miss beer. But with a bit of refining this could be a really damn good beer. Still gets a pretty solid rating from me.

Bottle. A- Grass, hay, biscuits, musty, subtle caramel. A- Dark orange color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Subtle caramel, bready, malty, herbs, grassy, slightly bitter, woody. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, musty finish. O- This sucked. I didn’t expect it to be anything but average but it didn’t even manage to accomplish that. Lots of bready, grassy, musty aroma and tastes. Just a bad beer. I’ll take a Dos Equis over this crap. If this is your pride and joy find a new profession. Extra Special...no. Extra bad....yes.

Bottle. A- Grains, corn, grassy. A- Pale orange color, hazy liquid, off white head. T- Spices, grains, unbalanced. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, unbalanced finish. O- I hope there was something wrong with the bottle I had otherwise this was just plain awful. Lots of spice and unbalanced on the palate and just nothing good to say about it. Like a pale lager with a random mix of spices and herbs thrown in.

Bottle. A- Lima beans, wheat, cereal, creamy. A- Copper color, clear liquid, minimal head. T- Malty, crisp, wheat, cereal, caramel, vegetables, cream. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, mild finish. O- This doesn’t taste like much of a pale ale to me. Virtually no bitterness or hops. A faint vegetable smell and taste that kind of turns me off but still not horrible.

Bottle. A- Coffee, chocolate, roasty. A- Black color, dark liquid, tan head. T- Coffee, chocolate, bitter cocoa, roasty, slightly sweet, balanced. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty finish. O- This sweet stout has a lot of coffee flavor and lots of chocolate. Not as creamy as I would have expected it to be but the sweetness from all the sugar is definitely present.
