Description

Roast and some cacao. Comes off a little imbalanced. Some booze and leather. Bittersweet finish. I've definitely had better from these guys. Tap at Cyprez

Lots of smoke here. Scratch that, tons of smoke. Comes off so smoke heavy that it kind of overtakes the beer, and that doesn't happen often in a Porter. Would be great if it was dialed back a little. Light leather behind that. Black pour with good head and lacing.

A deep dark imperial stout with a thin lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, molasses, plums, light coconut, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet bitter chocolate with coffee grind, light coconut, vanilla and alcohol warmth, very nice and rich. On tap at Beer Boutique, 5to Barrio.

Sampled at Hop the Beer Experience 2, pours a dark brown, black with plenty of sticky, brown head. Big nose, chocolate, coffee grounds, toast, molasses, nutty, some dried fruits, palm sugar even. Flavor is similarly nice, malty, sweet, nutty, chocolate syrup, tootsie rolls. Full bodied, slightly sweet, roasty finish. Nicely done.
