Description
Black Mesa Brewing Co. has an interesting story as an Oklahoma craft brewery in the golden age of craft brewing. 10 months after company inception our brewery location was destroyed by a tornado in the summer of 2013. Owners Chris Sanders and Brad Stumph found themselves in the position of gypsy brewers who quickly forged a great partnership with O’Fallon Brewery to continue producing their lineup of beers.

Bottle with thanks to OKBeerFan! Pours opaque black with a small creamy brown head and good lacing. Aroma is roasty, anise, chocolate. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, roasty, a bit of ashtray, and coffee - but a bit stale on the coffee. Medium plus body, creamy mouthfeel. Upgrade the coffee and put a bit more in and this is excellent.
