Can from Bruisin' Ales. Pours solid dark brn/blk with a large dark tan head. Aroma of dark burnt malt with chocolate and dark fruits. Full bodied. Flavor is very burnt malt with a lot of sweetness - there's chocolate and raisin/plum (aka prune). Heat is barely noticeable. I think bitter burnt malt provides the opposition to sweet. Kind of oxymoronic? Bitter malt? Ah well. It frickin' tastes fantastic.

Pour is a total black with a good sized creamy tan head. Aroma is a decent deep char with some black licorice. Flavor is a huge char malt that is bone dry and pulls off any moisture you have remaining on your tongue. Finish leaves a nice roast on the mouth as well and no alcohol is felt at all. Probably one of the more intensely roasted Impy stouts I've had in awhile.
