Description
Combining their love of beer and experience in manufacturing, Matt and John set their sights on some day opening a brewery.
Matt started the company in August of 2014 with our downtown Raleigh restaurant, which features a German inspired menu and 40 guest taps, including a 10 tap self-pour beer wall — The first of it’s kind in the triangle.
After decades of home brewing and completion of the Master Brewer Program at the prestigious Siebel Institute, which included a month at Doemens Academy outside of Munich, John was ready to convert from manufacturing nuclear missile guidance electronics to manufacturing a lineup of award-winning lagers and ales. We built our production brewery and taproom in midtown Raleigh and released our first Clouds beers in March of 2016.
A couple months later, in October 2016, we opened our third location (in a city that knows food and drink well) in Durham’s Brightleaf Square. This location features a full restaurant and 50 taps, including another 10 tap self-pour beer wall.

Roast and some coffee. Dark brown pour with decent head. Some limey tang in the finish that takes away from final product on the aftertaste in a pretty serious way. Tap. ,
