Pours a dark brown from a bottle with an off-white head. Aroma is a sweet dark fruit, a little tobacco and leather as the beer warms. Flavor is similar, lightly sour, with a nice umami savoriness. Complex. Pretty good beer.

750ml bottle thanks to Jake. Medium golden with a nice one finger white head. Belgian yeast in the aroma, like a good tripel should be. More of the yeast in the taste, a few savory notes, light floral accents. Decent.

Sample at the DBLDP on 09/03/2017. Hazy cola color with a medium foamy off-white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of dark fruit, yeast and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of Belgian yeast, caramel malt, spice and wood. The finish is fruity with a yeast and malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
