Draft at the source. Deep clear brown color, scant tan head. Earthy aroma. Taste has dark roast, vanilla, coffee, burnt licorice. Very tasty. Served in a shaker pint which is just a bit insane.

Draft at the source. Hazy pale yellow color, white head. Medicinal aroma. Basil overwhelms all in the taste.

Large hit of toasty cereal malts followed by a manageable, lingering bitterness. Friendly and easygoing for an IPA, not a hop bomb but well-crafted and appropriate for Techies. Too bad I’m a Dawg.

Draft at Jocks and Jills, Waverly, 3/4/15
I though this was a pretty nice Rye IPA. The hop flavors actually came through nicely along with the spice from the rye bread. Definitely something I would order again, especially on a macro-centric list like the one at Jocks and Jills.

Sample at Ale Yeah, Decatur. Light, hazy gold color, with a thin, off-white head. Nose is wheat, salt, cloves, some dusty barnyard funk, and lemon. Very sweet, heavy salt and lightly sour. Light body, crisp, and very clean. Overall, this is a lovely tasting, well balanced gose. Very nice!

Growler from Ale Yeah! Clear, gold pour, with a medium, foamy, off-white head. The nose is lemon zest, sharp ginger, grass, resin, and curry. Sweet flavor, with a mild, but unpleasant, bitter aftertaste. Light body, sticky, lightly carbonated, and nicely crisp. Not bad, but I expected more. The spicing is interesting, but doesn’t add much.

Sample at the Craft Beer Factory in Marietta. Reddish brown color, with a thick, tan head. Big nose of butter toffee, with some caramel, rye, and cloves. Very sweet, with not a lot of bitterness. Medium body, smooth and creamy. This is a candy-like, sweet beer, with a great mouthfeel.
