Sampled at the brewery, pours a hazy orange with some lacing, white head. Nose has a ton of fresh/raw jalapeno pepper, some green bell pepper, orange, lime, a little caramelized veg. Flavor is surprisingly subtle with the heat, green bell peppery, a little celery, mild malt. Finishes crisp with just a little pepper burn.

Dark brown coloured body with a large, three centimetre tall light brown head. Aroma of malt, brown sugar, molasses, chocolate, a lot of coffee and some light lactic notes. Medium-bodied; Assertive chocolate and bitter coffee flavours at first with a touch of a spicey kick at first that fades to mostly chocolate and bitter coffee with faint bits of vanilla and a good malt earthy milk flavour at the end. Aftertaste shows a relative nice complexity with some vanilla and a little whiskey flavour at the end. Overall, a nice beer with a good amount of complexity and some solid flavours, but just a bit expensive for the style/size. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in Manassas, Virginia on 28-March-2015 for US$9,99 sampled at home in Washington on 05-May-2015.

Draft pour at Meridian Pint for their DC debut event. Poured a slightly cloudy copper color with a small off-white head. Aroma was notes of light jalapeno notes, no real heat though. Flavor had nice subtle jalapeno notes, light malt character, touch of earthy hops. Pleasant.
