Description
Born in the headwaters of Bench Creek in Yellowhead County, Alberta, this brewery was built by family and friends smack dab in the middle of Alberta’s backyard. We are immersed in the untamed majesty and the harsh realities of the wild that make this province special.

That’s why we push our techniques and recipes constantly – why we experiment as if our lives depend on it. Our goal is to balance premium ingredients perfectly in every glass, growler, can, cask, or keg we fill. Only then do we rest knowing these distinctive beers will be worth discovering over and over again.

With all that in mind, we invite you to try our beers wherever you find them to get a taste of our unique approach. If you’re a more adventurous sort, come by the brewery in Yellowhead County to see the place and the process for yourself.

473ml can at Dylan's in Lethbridge. Pours a murky orange-yellow with a medium, creamy, long lasting, ecru head that leaves curtains of lace. Dank, fruity aroma of caramel malt, mango, pineapple, orange and piney hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready caramel malt, apricot, peach, orange, mango, papaya, pineapple and pine resin with a dry, bitter, leafy, green hop finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and average carbonation. WOW, a big boy beer that is well balanced and very drinkable for such a high ABV and IBU beer. Very juicy and tasty. Awesome.

On tap. Pours a clear gold with a small, creamy, long lasting, off-white head that laces nicely. Sweet aroma of bready malt, honey and floral hops. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, biscuit, honey and herbal hops with a crisp, dry, slightly bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Smooth, but not really getting any oat. At any rate, this is a clean, refreshing, easy drinking, flavourful Blonde Ale.

Tasting at Oakes' Manor, can
Black colour with large brown head. Light phenol, strong roated malt, strong liquorice, a bit salty.
A straight Imperial Stout, a bit weird, but interesting.
