Description
Born in the headwaters of Bench Creek in Yellowhead County, Alberta, this brewery was built by family and friends smack dab in the middle of Alberta’s backyard. We are immersed in the untamed majesty and the harsh realities of the wild that make this province special.
That’s why we push our techniques and recipes constantly – why we experiment as if our lives depend on it. Our goal is to balance premium ingredients perfectly in every glass, growler, can, cask, or keg we fill. Only then do we rest knowing these distinctive beers will be worth discovering over and over again.
With all that in mind, we invite you to try our beers wherever you find them to get a taste of our unique approach. If you’re a more adventurous sort, come by the brewery in Yellowhead County to see the place and the process for yourself.

Can - Fruity dark sweet roast. Jet black with a decent beige head. Roasty sweetness, nice hoppy notes and a light finish. Very hoppy for the style, almost black IPA, but solid.

Dark brown. Thin head. This has a nice molasses note, maybe a touch of chocolate. There's some harshness to the malt, but also a really nice molassesy burnt sugar note, with a whack of earthy, chocolate stuff. Nice brew.

On tap. Pours a clear dark brown with red hue and a medium, creamy, long lasting, beige head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate and coffee. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, dried fruit and molasses with a mild, bitter coffee finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Well balanced and tasty.

tap, summer 2016 rating - Pours very dark brown with a small head. It smells of roasted malt and coffee. The flavor is mainly roasted malt. It's pretty thin for a porter. Overall it's okay, I guess. High ratings here make me wonder if I just got a bad one.

Lots of sharp tangerine in this with some other citrus. Comes together well. Hazy blonde like a freckled girl with good head and lacing. Fruity. Tap at Sherbrooke Liquor in Edmonton.

Light citrus and some foam. Pours hazy orange with great head and lacing. Easy drinking with decent balance, if nothing special like Christmas Marathon television.
