Bottle. Little Leeds Beer House. Light amber. Soft haze. Thick, dense, shiny topped, just off white head. Looks great. Nose, however, isn't. Smells of glue and burnt rubber. Toffee sweet grain. Very little else. Taste is toffee sweet. Foamy mouthfeel. More glue and burnt rubber to finish. Something went wrong here.

Bottle bought online from Hoptimism. Pours slightly hazy light golden, small lasting white head. Yeast & lemon notes on the nose. Flavours of lemon peel, bread, light grassy hops, a little sweetness & gentle Belgian twang. Clean finish Light body, carb is fine. Decent Belgian-y session beer

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at Clapton Craft. Opens with a lasting hiss, but it doesn’t gush. It is massively over-carbonated, though, and it’s about 20 minutes before I can get a proper pour done. After that, the beer has a pleasant, restrained aroma, some dry pale bread, sourdough, semi-ripe citrus, melon and tangerine. Light to medium sweet flavour, with more sourdough bread, some straw, lemon, a little pith. Light bodied with lively, mouth-filling carbonation. Finishes with a bit of bready sweetness, more citrus fruits, a mild juicy aspect, some biscuits. Aside from the carbonation issue, it’s a nice beer.

Bottle. Little Leeds Beer House. Bit of a gusher. Lost a good glass full. Fight it into submission, and it’s very hazy, bitty, egg yolk yellow, with a head that recedes to an even, thin, lasting, white foam. Nose has a familiar, bready, yeasty, lightly funky saison character. Notes of juiced lemon and lime. Hint of green herb, presumably from the nettle leaf. Touch of pepper. Some bubblegum. Just a hint of Brett. Taste is bready sweet, with a herbal, spicy, light bitterness peeking through. Plenty of body, undiluted by the lively carbonation. Bready sweet and peppery bitter finish. Ticks all the saison boxes.

Draught (Rockstone, Southampton) - Hazy pale golden in colour. Lemon, watercress and grass in the aroma. Refreshing and slightly tangy taste with lemon, lime, watercress and some tangy hints.
