Description
Unity Brewing Co was founded in 2016 by Jimmy Hatherley, after seven years in the industry and a passion for yeast-driven beers - from soft and juicy New England IPAs to the rustic, crisp and refreshing farmhouse ales of Belgium.

Our brewing methods focus on elevating humble ingredients to create something greater than the sum of its parts. Always unfiltered, unfined and unpasteurised, our beers are natural, flavourful and vegan friendly.

Good example but technically for tb the abv should be lower. Felt a tad more yeast wastage but otherwise a solid beer

Draught (Belgium & Blues, Southampton) Browny red in colour. Cherries, raisins and some slightly roasted notes in the aroma. Fruity and moderately sweet taste with chocolate, cherries and hints of wort. Quite refreshing on a hot day here in Soton.

Bottle at home in London - sourced from Clapton Craft. Pours perfectly clear yellow-gold with a frothy, white head. Lots of herbs in the nose, some spicy yeast, crispy wheat flakes, lemon zest. Light sweet flavour with moderate grassy bitterness, pale grains, more herbs kites, hay, citrus peel. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Somewhat drying in the finish, with more grassy hops, dried herbs, lemon peel, straw. A bit too herbal for my liking, but it does come together fairly well. Not bad overall.

Keg at The Rake. It pours hazy golden with a sturdy white head. The aroma is rich spiced character, barnyard, light manure, cereal, toasty grain, peanutut, wood, bread and earth. The taste is crisp, bitter, straw, cereal, cracker, quite spicy, pepper, green, herbal, citrus rind, pear skin, apple and toasty nut with a dry, spiced finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. Comes across pretty rustic and traditional. Good fun.

Draught (Brewdog, Southampton) - Black with a tan head. Coffee, liquorice and roasted malt in the aroma. Black treacle, liquorice, coffee and plain chocolate can be detected in the smooth taste. Enjoyable and easy to drink considering its abv.
