I've had the regular version of this but not this 'imperial' version, so lets check it out. From a cheap can it pours big and black with a beauty of a choco moose head. All kinds of peanut butter choco aromas are permeating the environment. First taste is exceptionally cloying and sweet, some warming sensations on the tongue. Very boozy fer sher. Has some very soft carbonation that eases the impact, but certainly could use more. Quite an impression on my poor macro lager lovin taste buds. In the middle its getting quite viscous and mouth coating on the palate. Becoming more difficult as the session continues. Very much like the original version except its more cloying and more boozy,. I guess the brewer describes this attribute as decadent? heheehhh - I guess you can say this messy peanut butter choco bomb is simply monstrous, formidable, menacing, dire, atrocious, nearly egregious, and simply approaches terrible. JMHO Whew! Doesn't really deserve a 4.8 but that high score comes from the look and the smell, hehehhheh. For the enjoyability factor, this is much worse than the original version but it does catch you a buzz a lot quicker with its boost. So I guess its a plus if that's what yer looken fer.

Can. Lemon, light barley malt, and straw aroma. Medium yellow with moderate white head. Minimally sweet citrus, barley malt, lightly sour milk and lightly bitter straw flavor. Lightly body. Not too bad - if it wasn't for the sour milk flavor, would have been a winner.

Can: Clear gold with a foamy white head. Mild barley aroma. Taste is fairly watery....barley malt. Lawn-mower-worthy, but that's about it..... Nothing "off"......light and clean....

Can: Clear gold with a large white head. Slightly metallic, grainy scent. The metallic notes follow in the flavour....along with light barley malt. Doesn't have the slightly sharper/alcohol notes of some ice beers. It's ok for what it is......drinkable, but forgettable.

Can. Sour corn, barley malt, and light grass aroma. Medium yellow with giant white head. Mildly sweet corn/barley malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Metallic aftertaste. Not as clean tasting as a typical Ice lager but not horrible.

Refrigerated 12 oz. can from sheubber85 poured into a glass. Clear copper with small off-white head. Aroma is corn, medium body, medium/light carbonation, and some small bubble lacing. Taste is malty caramel. The better mid-west version of Yuengling.

Can: Clear Amber with a large beige head. Caramel, herbal scent. Taste is grassy, slightly chalky caramel malt. Shrubber85 is right.....drink it warmer than you think you should..

Can. Caramel malt and weedy grass aroma. Amber with small short lasting head. Moderately sweet caramel malt and mildly bitter herbal grass flavor. Okay body - mild carbonation. Better at cellar temperature. Not as bad as I feared - still far from the best beer on earth or even in Hendricks County for that matter.
