Dark red with a small soapy white head that faded quickly. Tangy with tannin, dark fruit and fruity hops. Long finish. Medium body. Hopped mead - always a bad idea.

OK, had this a cobblehaus. Its very clear to the eye., barely a tint of yellow. Smell is certainly green candy apple. A little watery up front. But, apple does carry into the taste. Green that is. A little lighter, like its watered down a little, but you expect that with some domestic brands, you know, cost and such. Good stuff, but it could have been a little more dense in the end. Thanks cobble.

This mead poured an orange-honey color with a large foamy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was overwhelming tannin. The flavor was sweet with a very strong tannin presence that obscured anything else they were trying to do with this one. Long finish. Moderately full body.

Sampled at the brewery this mead poured a peach-orange color with no head and no lacing. The aroma was sweetish with clove, nutmeg and a touch of honey. The flavor was tangy and sweet with clove, nutmeg and very faint vague berry. Long clove finish. Medium body. Decent.

Sampled at the brewery this mead poured a dark plum color with no head and no lacing. The aroma was menthol, red wine, eucalyptus and leather. The flavor was dry and musty with tannin, wood, cheap red wine and leather. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Terrible.

Sampled at the brewery this mead poured a dark copper color with a small foamy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was sweet with tannin, leather and an odd presence. The flavor was sweet, tangy and almost grainy with tannin and medicine notes. Medium length finish. Moderately full bodied. Not good.
