Can thanks to Douglas! Pours dark brown with a slight hue of read and a gray head that dissipated quickly to the edges. Aroma has a nice dark grain note with some notes of roast and coffee to add a bit of bitterness to the nose. Flavor starts with dark grains and roast but they dissipated into a weak thin finish.

Can thanks to Douglas. Poured a clear gold with a white head that dissipated to the edges and laced. Aroma has a nice crispness with some grass hops and a nice hay and grain backbone. Flavor is similar with a nice crispness, light grass hops and a grain and bread backbone.

Hey 4% ABV Bock, hmm. Can courtesy of Utah legend douglas88. It pours a nice mahogany with mocha head. The modest aroma emits roasted malts, chocolate and earthiness and seems to pick up a faint touch of fruity esters and dusty malt balls. The taste is pretty full with a mix of dark roasted malts, earthiness, chocolate malts, some black licorice and spicy hops. It gets a bit more spicy hops like as well as carrying around a bit of roasty malts right into the finish helping to give it a somewhat dry finish.

Can courtesy of Utah legend douglas88. It pours clear copper with off white head. The aroma is grainy malts, 7 grain bread, biscuit, spicy hops and a touch lemon like. The taste starts with semi bright notes of spicy hops, a bit of rosted malts and earthiness. It then picks up a touch of fruity esteriness as well as bready to grainy to near nutty malts.

Pretty. I’ll give it that. But I’m having a hard time getting over the green-apple-yeast flavor that lingers on the tongue after you sip this pint. The taste isn’t entirely off, but you wish the Saaz hops played a bigger role in balancing out this tart bastard. Eventually the flavor fades into a metallic, lemony aftertaste, not pleasant and quite prolonged. Nice lacing down my glass, though.

Waxed bomber (bottle number 254/400) courtesy of douglas88, thanks. Pours mahogany with tan head. The aroma emits dark roasted malts, highly roasted malts, earthiness, semi spicy oaky wood notes and a bit of nuttiness. The taste is pretty full with dark roasty malts bleeding into nuttiness and then spicy oak and wood. Really nice roasty to burnt maltiness going on here that splinters out into spicy oak from time to time.

Whoa, nelly, this beer is all over the place. Too bad none of these places are all that enjoyable. Lackadaisical coming out of the can, this beer comes close to resembling macrolagers of mistakes past, yet could possibly smell worse. The nose is awful, with hints of pils malt mixing with mildew and corn. The taste turns things around slightly, but only slightly, kind of like driving out of the way of an oncoming bus and straight into a fire hydrant. Not the worst lager ever, but far, far from good.
