(Bottle 50 cl) Neatly pilsener golden with a nice but quickly collapsing head. As is typical for Zwiefalter this is very soft and pleasant without much bitterness - the malty sweetnes is in control. 130602

Bottle (under the name Zwiefalter Hefedrittel). Yeasty banana-berry aroma. Cloudy light tan color with ample head. Sweet banana-berry flavor with noted aftertaste of smokiness and slight bitterness - a bit weak/watery. Okay but would be better with more body.

Rerate at Einhorn, Esslingen, spice, vanilla forward, pulled rating up a bit.

Yeasty and clove nose. Gigantic head, yellowish cloudy color. Yeasty, even slightly smoky. Somewhat watery finish, not really spectacular.

A american standard brewed by a small german brewer, I certainly hope no other german breweries will try to do the same - this is awfull! Malty, slightly skunky aroma. Amber, no head. Bland, slightly malty - no aftertaste. What a bottle of crap!
