Pours a very slightly hazy, amber-gold, with good-sized, lasting head. Aroma is dank and earthy, with a goodly amount of hop presence. Flavor is fairly smooth, with pine/spruce hops in the forefront, and just a touch of citrus in back. There’s a touch of sweetness to this one, though it still has a pretty bitter finish. All in all, a fair approximation of a West Coast IPA.

Pours a hazy, banana-orange color, with middling head. Aroma has citrus notes and some piney hops, along with a touch of grassiness. Flavor is very bitter, with some grapefruit/citrus and spruce/pine hops. Very bitter aftertaste and finish to this one. It’s really not bad.

Can. Pours a hazy yellow gold with small white head. The aroma is strong roast coffee, vanilla, dark chocolate. Medium body, roast, vanilla, cocoa, bitter finish, good.

I like the packaging, with the bright green can. I picked up some citrus here, but the primary character is the dry malt. It is much less sweet than most in this style. moderately well hopped, and alcohol is not particularly noticeable. Not getting tropical fruit. It needs more hops, or more malt flavor.

Minnesota Trip Beer #95.Keg at Red Cow North Loop Minneapolis, 5/9/16. Hazy golden, large foamy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of pale malt and yuzu. Taste matches. Thin, bland.

ABR 2016. Amber color and low carbonation. Smoke aroma, but flavor has a medicinal quality I do not care for. I would have liked more smoke character all around.

Full shaker at Stubs. Purple beer. Aroma has blackberry. Somewhat metallic, yeast, and a dry malt base. Berry flavor ad well. I liked this. Finish is dry and more berry in the aftertaste.

Draft at Churchkey. Clear very pale yellow color, dense white head with solid lacing. Aroma of white pepper and dusty straw. Taste is peppery lemon, light funk. Very tasty.

At Savor 2016. Clear golden pour. Aroma was light grassy and citrus notes. Floral character, with plenty stonefruits. Light grapefruit, and yuzu is strong in this one.
