On tap at Republic. Pours a clear very pale yellow with no head whatsoever. Aroma has sweet apple with some cucumber and a touch of bitterness. Flavor has sweet apple and a touch of sweet caramel with a hint of cucumber underlying.

On tap at Republic. Pours a clear very pale yellow with a white head that dissipates completely. Aroma has a good amount of sweet apple with a touch of dryness and a hint of whiskey. Flavor is much more dry with a touch of whiskey supporting.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow with visible carbonation with no head whatsoever. Aroma has dry apple with a slight bitterness and a touch of earthiness. Flavor has lots of dry apples with a touch of earthiness supporting.

On tap. Pours a clear copper pink with a white head that dissipates quickly and completely. Aroma has a decent amount of tart rhubarb with a touch of cherry and acidic apple. Flavor is more apple forward with a good amount of dryness with a hint of cherry and tart rhubarb underlying.

Sampled from the tap at Republic 7C. Pours a near clear light gold with a few bubbles visible. Aroma has a rich earthy apple note with a touch of acid, pear and dryness. Flavor is rich apple with a hint of pear and acid as well as a growing dry note.

The flavor what reminds me of a Macintosh apple because I have never had a Northern Spy. Nice flavor, lightly juicy leading into a light, crisp body. Refreshing after a few heavy malty brews. Clean.
