Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a murky deep gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of plum and some bitter citrus with light grains and a hint of anise backing. Flavor has more anise and bitter citrus upfront with a light grain backbone.

Sampled from the Firkin at Happy Gnome Firkin Fest 2015. Pours a murky very dark brown with a brown head that dissipates completely and quickly. Aroma has notes of dark grains and dark chocolate with orange peel underlying. Flavor is muddled with dark chocolate and bitter orange with some musty dark grains underlying.

Pours a cloudy, dark gold, with minimal head. Fairly strong citrus-hop aroma. Flavor is marked by citrus and pine with a touch of malt sweetness to make it fairly balanced. More APA than IPA, but not bad...

On tap at Happy Gnome. Pours a deep brown with a tannish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet dark grains and cherry with vanilla and oak underlying. Flavor has more sweet grains up front supported by vanilla and just hints of oak and cherry.

Sampled from the tap at New Bohemia. Pours a hazy earthy yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of sweet and earthy wheat with a touch of light fruit underlying. Flavor is full of sweet wheat with touches of light fruit, honey, chamomile, light citrus and light flora.

22oz bottle pours a watery black with some clumpy, white head. Nose has malt, bread crust, molasses, mild nuttiness, some chocolate. Flavor has malt, chocolate, molasses, bread, some wet cardboard. Dry finish.
