Red-brown colour. Aroma is a bit grassy. Flavour has some chocolatey malty notes and moderate chilli heat.

Hazy copper colour with thin creamy head. Light, fine carbonation. Balanced flavour with plenty of malt backbone and a light bitter finish.

Hazy blond with thin head. Aroma has lots of winey yeasty notes and is quite tart. Flavour is similar but with added fructose-like sweetness.

Bottle @ Hotel NH Eixample, Barcelona. Pours black, no head, but some not so nice looking yeasty floaties on top. Aroma of sweet roasted malt, caramel, little coffee, dark chocolate, coconut. Flavor is very sweet, malt, caramel, sugar, dark chocolate, heavy coconut, bounty bar chocolate. Full body, oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation, sweet finish with light warming alcohol. Shame about the looks. 300416

Draught @ Brewdog Bar, Barcelona. Pours golden with an offwhite head. Aroma of malt, belgian yeast, wood, fruit, grapes, a bit of spice, white wine, fruity bubblegum, alcohol. Flavor is rather sweet, light sour, malty, yeast, fruit, wood, wine, alcohol. Medium to full body, average carboantion, light sweet finish with warming alcohol. 300416

Draught @ L’espumossa, Barcelona. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of light roasted malt, coffee, little yeast, grassy hops, Sorachi Ace herbal notes, little dill. Flavor is light malty, yeast, caramel, coffee, grass, herbs, dill. Medium body, average carbonation, dry finish. Not really a fan of Sorachi Ace, but its keept low key here. 280416

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks Stas. Cloudy deep amber. Aroma full of chili, quite vegetal and spicy, a bit smoky, with some malt. Sweet flavor with malt, caramel, lots of vegetal chili, somewhat spicy, mildly hot, mildly smoky. Medium-bodied. OK for what it is, but not my thing.

Nice packaging.. black color, almost no head (dark coffee-colored colored anyway). smells of licorice, some wood, light dried fruits, some ash, charcoal, spices, coffee, earthy, light bitter chocolate. very lovely smell. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of licorice, some wood, coffee, bitter chocolate, spices, light alcohol, bit earthy. finishes a bit light with some roast and notes of licorice and coffee. very good stuff, just on the finish it looses a bit, I guess because of the low ABV (compared to other imp stouts). In general this would benefit from a bit more body, the aroma was very lovely though. Overall quite nice beer.
