The appearance was a milky brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a mild pace. Light lace.
The aroma had some sweet caramel/toffee malts, some nuts, some biscuits/breadiness and wraps it together with some grassy/woody hops.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side and ended up getting a little bit of butterscotch in there. Light malty aftertaste and finish.
The feel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine and the ABV felt fine.
Overall, nicely done brown ale worthy of having again if I could get it.

Growler share with Frank.
The appearance was a dark amber color almost brown, but not. Thin white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Slight lace.
The aroma had a good deal of roasted nuts up front and then a soft contour of caramel and toffee malts. Some dark fruits come out as it warms.
The flavor blended nicely between the roasted nuts and sweet composure of the malts. Dark fruits come out again to balance. Mild toast in the aftertaste to follow in the finish.
The feel was between light and medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good crisp carbonation feels good with the projected ABV.
Overall, nicely done brown ale worthy of having again if I could get it.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a dark ruddy amber to brown color with a nice finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at an even pace. Moderate glossy lacing.
The aroma had some sweet and toasty bready to caramel malts. Mild toffee/butterscotch and then some grassy hops.
The flavor keeps the malts to play with a nice sweet to toasty taste. Some nuts. Nuts, toast and caramel combine in the aftertaste and cleanly moves into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. ABV felt fine.
Overall, good amber ale that I could come back to if I could have again.

This was poured into wine glass.
The appearance was a ruddy semi-dark orange to brown sort of color with just a cap of a white head. Alcohol strings of lace.
The aroma starts with a big caramel toffee boozy vanilla sweetness with a fair sweet to semi-spicy whiskey woody dryness. Subtle pomme-like fruits play underneath.
The flavor was all about the boozy sweet malts and pomme-like fruits. Vanilla is an afterthought but somewhat there. Boozy malty aftertaste bringing the heat and sniffing at the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a nice sipping quality about it. Barely any carbonation. ABV felt definitely like an Eisbock. And then on top of it, the barrel definitely provided that extra boost of booze.
Overall, barrel aged Eisbock, damn well it was and one to sip by a fire on a cold Winter’s night.
