Description
We’re just a bunch of beer geeks who have all pondered the same question: “With breweries popping up everywhere else in Alabama, why not in the southern part of the state?” Rather than sit around a bemoan the answer, we decided to do something about it, and the Fairhope Brewing Company was born.
The Fairhope Brewing Company is located at 914 Nichols Ave., just a block off Highway 98 in Fairhope, Ala., and less than five minutes from beautiful downtown. Our taproom is open six days a week, offering a comfortable atmosphere to meet up with friends and enjoy a variety of our hand-crafted beers. We don't have a kitchen, but please feel free to bring in your own food.

On tap at Fairhope, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is soft, with straw, biscuity malt and barely any hops. Flavour is soft, with straw, biscuity malt, and a hint of grass. Way under-hopped. Clean but deficient.

On tap at The Chimes - East, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of cinnamon, baked apple and caramel — yeah, smells like an apple pie. Flavour is sweet and spicy, with plenty of sweet caramel, baked apple, and cinnamon. Yeah, like a liquefied apple pie. Barely sour, more just a fun flavoured fruit and spiced beer. Meh.

12 oz. can, thanks to Tim! Pours a clear, straw color, with a small, fizzy, off-white head. The aroma is bright blueberry, lemon juice, wheat, and quinine. Sweet and juicy, with a light sour flavor. Light and crisp. Simple and solid.
