16 oz. draft at (The Hudson), Sedona, AZ. Crystal clear golden appearance, lasting thin head. Slow carbonation level. Aroma and flavor are a mirror. Mild, weak hop, vanilla, grain. Light body and a clean easy finish. For a standard issue blonde, decent.

On tap at O.H.S.O., pours a clear dark chestnut brown / amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of caramel malt and subdued resinous hops. Flavour brings out cloyingly sweet cough syrup, caramel and some buried resinous hops underneath. Too syrupy and medicinal. Needs refinement.

On tap at The Independent Distillery in Tucson, pours a clear golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out citrus hops, a touch of grapefruit and biscuity malt. Flavour is very grapefruity, with bitter citrus hops and just enough dry biscuity malt. Rather ascorbic and astringent, making it a bit harsh.

12oz can pours with a clear copper body that supports a full tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up tangelo, clementine and some orange. The taste delivers smooth juicy citrusy tangelo and clementine like hops and then it quickly gets into a moderate level of tangy citrus hop bitterness as it becomes a little more grapefruit like. This delivers a pleasing level of citrus hop bitterness and depth. Pretty nice.

The appearance was a ruddy burnt amber color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a decent pace. Mild messy lacing.
The aroma had some caramel malts with a fair herbal to earthy hoppiness, low key with a touch of butterscotch.
The flavor blended those aromas subtle with a touch of smoke and some biscuits. Malty aftertaste with a refined clean grassy to herbal finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine for the most part.
Overall, decent as a Scottish ale with a touch of an amber ale trying to make a presence of a blend perhaps.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-dark brown almost black in color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a decent pace. Mild lacing sticks to the glass.
The aroma had sly smoke, some peat, crisp dried herbal qualities, some caramel malt and then some cherry sweetness.
The flavor blended all of those previously mentioned aromas together somewhat sweetly. Mild touch of the smoke coming back to blend with the cherries in the aftertaste. Light peaty/smoky finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation. ABV feels appropriate. Nice smoothness all around.
Overall, nicely done Scotch ale that I could have again.

Tap. Pours hazy golden, small white head, good lacing. Aroma of grassy, perfume, pine. Flavor is light sweet, light plus bitter, perfume and pine. Light plus body. Lingering bitterness. So so.

Poured up on tap at AZ Strong Beer Fest 2016 where it exhibits a slightly hop hazed deep gold body that has thick copper hues and supports a near white head of foam. The aroma offers up malt sweetened candy like tangelo, sweet orange candy, and mild mango sort of hard candy sensation rolling around in the background. The taste starts with a bitter citrus hoppiness that climbs right into lightly juicy kind of candy tangelo and tangerine and sweetened pink grapefruit like hoppiness. The bitterness grows to modest levels to midway with citrus hops and a little bit of pineapple. Nice hoppy brew.

32oz growler pours with a near clear copper body that supports a light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up candy like grapefruit, orange peel and then citrus hop notes heading toward the end of the draw. The taste delivers bitter grapefruit, sweet orange juice nuanced grapefruit pieces and then tart yet sweet grapefruit flavored gummy bears. The citrusy bitter notes fade into the finish leaving candy like grapefruit and a modest level of sweet malts blended with this earthy grapefruit juice. Pretty nice.
