Undated can from a gas station, but it was refrigerated, drunk 12/31/15.
Clear, golden body is well-carbonated and topped by an initially large white head that quickly fades to cover/ring.
Not a whole lot in the nose: some corn, various cereal notes, vanilla and a very sparse floral hop character. No flaws or alcohol.
Moderately sweet, with a strange corn and vanilla character. Rather "stale" tasting and perhaps it has sat in the fridge for a long time, not sure. Nothing particularly offensive going on and it’s at least well-attenuated, but there’s very little hop character and the texture is quite filtered and unspectacular.

Poured up on tap at the 2015 edition of the AZ Strong Beer Festival where it exhibits a clear deep gold body that supports an off white head of foam. The modest aroma offers up some citrus tangelo like notes as well as a little bit of onion spicy hoppines. The taste is thin and it also has a little sort of off caramel note in the background. Outside of that the hops are pretty darn nice with pleasing tangelo and grapefruit and onion spicy hoppiness where a sliver or two of juicy citrus is interlaced amid the bitter hop notes. Overall this has pleasing hoppiness and hop bitterness as those hops linger well into the after taste. But this comes up short on a few fronts for a IIPA in body, thin aromatics and the out of place caramel like sensation.
AZ Strong Beer Fest 2016 edition. This batch omitted the sort of off caramel sensation noticed in the 2015 batch. As a result this comes together pretty nice where the thin-ish body makes this seem pretty damn crushable and dangerous. Look out! Score is bumped up accordingly from 3.6 to 3.9.

Poured up on tap at the 2015 edition of the AZ Strong Beer Festival where it exhibits a nice murky copper body that supports a thin off white head. The inviting aroma offers up tangelo citrus hoppiness as well as spicy garlic onion type hoppy notes. Nice, the taste is both spicy and juicy with some juicy citrus hoppiness and then spicy bitter, nearly resiny, dank onion hoppy goodness. This is solid. The taste maintains this level of blended citrus and spicy dank hoppiness right into the finish. Delicious. I could drink a lot more of this.

Can: Pours almost clear, red-brown, with a thick, light tan head. Caramel, toasty scent. Taste is fruity, caramel malt, a hint of what seems like strawberry... Tasty.....mild....good rich maltiness.
