19.2 oz. can from Sprouts in Scottsdale, AZ. Pours a very dark brown color with a tan head and great retention. A few floaties. Spots of lacing. Dark malt aroma. Dark roasted malt flavor to match the nose with a clean dark cocoa finish. Low carbonation. Medium-heavy body. Lightly sweet and low bitterness. Well done.

Draught at The Yard, 6/11/18.
Clear, sunny-orange-apricot with very light amber tints. Medium-sized, white head atop shows moderate retention. High clarity.
Hoppy in the nose with tons of citrus. Lemon-orange rind with very light nectarine and lots of marmalade behind it. Biscuity-cracker malt with a pinch of honey-like depth and clean, with no alcohol or resin. The hops kind of outshine anything else going on here, and though there done quite nicely, with no resin or other sharpness, it certainly doesn't seem like any Mexican vienna I've ever had. Thought I was given a hoppy pale ale and had to ask the waitress to make sure she brought me the right beer.
In the mouth it's equally hoppy, with low-to-moderate, snappy bitterness and a soft base malt texture with light grainy cracker imparting good dryness in concert with the strong attenuation. Orange, nectarine, lemon and spicy marmalade with honey-vanilla on the finish, from the malt. Clean and drinkable with engaging carbonation. Excellent hoppy pale ale!

Tap. Pours clear mahogany, small beige head, decent lacing. Aroma of roast, ashtray. Flavor is light plus sweet, light bitter, ashtray and rubber boots, hints of smoke, root beer, other roots. Medium body. Not something I would base a brewery on.

Tap. Pours hazy pale straw, smash white head, some lacing. Aroma of wheat, lemon, light Brett. Flavor is light sweet, minimal bitterness, touch of Brett influence. Light body. So not a traditional hef, but what it is kind of works. Where the hell all the Brett notes come if not an infection I don’t know, but again, it kind of works.

Poured up on tap at Craft 64 where it exhibits a clear pure gold body that supports a near white head. The aroma offers up citrus hops and some sweet maltiness. The taste delivers smooth yet bitter clementine citrus hops and then quickly getting into earthy tea leaves like hoppy notes that fits in here perfect. The bitter citrus moves forward to midway and then the citrus and earthy hops tussle their way to the finish.

Poured up on tap at AZ Strong Beer Fest 2016 (as 7.5% ABV) where it exhibits a nice looking hop hazed deep gold body that has faint copper hues and supports a dirty white head of foam. The aroma is big and dank garlic-y onion spiciness…yes. It’s just earthy, grassy and dank from front to the end of the draw. I dig it. Ah, the taste does not disappoint after that terrific aromatic start. I get bitter spicy dank onion garlic-y notes that are full of bitterness yet somewhat restrained and kept in check with thin supportive malty body. It dries out a bit into the finish. Wow! Great IPA.

Reviewed from notes. From my AZ trip.
The appearance was a dark brown colored body, light lacing graces the top of the glass, half finger-ed white foamy head.
The smell was malty like, light chocolate with some banana entering in as it warms, decent amount of bitter hops to add into the mix.
The taste was mainly sweet yet a nice bitter happiness adds a mice balance to the mix. No aftertaste. Dry finish.
On the palate, it sat about a medium, sessionable. Carbonation is good for a Munich Dunkel to which it leads to a decent smoothness.
Overall, this was a good Munich Dunkel well worthy of coming back to.
