Can courtesy of nuplastikk, thank you! Almost opaque dark brown color, beige coca cola head. Aroma has cocoa and coffee, subtle biscuit. Taste is sweet malty chocolate biscuits.

12oz bottle. Filtered looking amber-brown body. Thin white head. Earthy caramel, light chocolate malt aroma. Relatively clean body, smooth brown malts. Not as impressive as some of their lagers, but still a pretty enjoyable offering. Fruity ale yeast tones balance out the smooth malt tones. OK.

16oz can. Filtered orange-tan body. Thin off-white head. Doughy, malt centered, true to style. Great balance. So much better than most US examples. Medium bodied, very drinkable, but has some depth too. Another solid offering from Lazy Monk.

Draft at GTMW. Clear amber brown color, tan head. Aroma of burnt caramel. Taste has caramel, toast, dark fruit. Decent.

On tap and in 16oz can. Another great malt centered beer from Lazy Monk. Murky unfiltered grey orange-brown. Earthy, deep malts. Has a really nice malt feel, not sure if they are using all European stuff or they just have skills, but this is sublime and excellent. Honey caramel tinges. Sublime, really goes down smooth for the ABV. Solid.

Bottle from pilsner man atom. Pours golden with frothy head. Nose is grassy and grains. Tastes of grass, honey, herbal, grainy, some yeast, and lemon. Nice rich palate. Really enjoyed paired perfect with Saturday afternoon hang.

16oz can. Fresh and tasty. Unfiltered glowing orange-caramel colored bodty. Foamy, glass lacing off-white head. I’m not really a fan of rye, but this is fairly enjoyable. Not really excited to see Lazy Monk make Ales in general, as they really excel at Lagers. OK enough for a brewpub beer, but nothing to get excited about. Some soapy hops complement the sweet rye tones. Drinkable, but middle of the road for the style.

16oz can. First Ale I’ve had from Lazy Monk. Soft, creamy, delicate. This is a pretty optimum Golden Ale. The malts do the talking, like most lazy monk beers, the hops are more for balance. The aroma isn’t super impressive, but is devoid off off notes, and doesn’t offend. Filtered but still has some smooth lager-like notes. Sublime, easy going session beer. Well done.

16oz can. A great Dunkel. Filtered amber-tan-brown body, a little lighter in color than its peers. Thin, oily head. Smooth caramel and medium dark toasty malt tones. Remarkably refreshing, smoother lager tones than any other brewery n the state...by far. Easy going, well crafted dark lager.
