Sample at Cat’s Den as part of Ohio Brew Week. Dark brown pour with a medium tan head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, chocolate and coffee. Medium-bodied with flavors of smoked malt, coffee and chocolate. The finish is roasty with a smoky malt aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sample at The Ohio Taproom. Pours a hazy orange-gold color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Aroma of citrus, yeast and malt. Medium body with flavors of citrus, peppery yeast and grassy hops. The finish is fruity with an herbal yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.
