Pours a watery, dark cola-color, with little by way of head. Aroma has some dark fruit, some chocolate. Flavor has a bit of coffee, chocolate, dark fruit. Overall, rather uninspiring. Perhaps this needs to age a bit? I was not impressed.

Bottle. Ginseng/chicory, coffee malt, and dry hay aroma. Black with nice tan head. Mildly sweet milky coffee malt and moderately bitter chicory/herbal hay flavor. Good body.

All Pints North 2016. Very sweet, even sweet for the style. Lots of malt flavor and a good dose of hops. No complexity really, but the simple malt flavors are good.

Pours a slightly hazy copper-amber, with mid-sized, quickly dissipating head. Aroma has some grass, some hops, but is surprisingly muted. Flavor is heavy on the malt and caramel of the grain, with some hop flavors in the background, but this is one that favors breadiness instead of tropical and citrus flavors. Not my favorite variety of IPA.
