Draft at the brewpub. Poured a really dark color, dark brown, almost black. Brown head. Aroma was lots of chocolate, coffee roasted notes. Heavy and rich. Flavor was lots of roasted chocolate, coffee, with some rich really dark, bitter chocolate dust. Very tasty.

Nitro pour at 801 Chophouse at the Paxton. Poured a very smooth black color with a very pretty, creamy lightly off-white head. Aroma was nice light coffee, some mild roast. Cold pressed coffee, very little bitterness (my wife took a sip without wincing, and she doesn't like coffee all that much). Vanilla is very mild, but adds a nice smooth character to smooth out the roast.

4 oz sample on draft at Local Beer, Patio, Kitchen. Color is a near clear gold. Aroma is nothing but tart cherry. No surprise with the flavor; light wheat base with plenty of sour cherry that lingers. Not hard to drink at all.

Draft at Local Kitchen, Omaha, NE. Darker briwn in color. Aroma is huge maple sugar, maple syrup, nuts. The flavor Integrates the maple very well. Just a hint of bitterness to balance the huge sweetness. Maple is well done here.

Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce can into pint glass, no can dating. Pours lightly hazy dark reddish brown color with a 2 finger dense and rocky khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big milk chocolate, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, toffee, cream, lightly nutty coffee, toasted brown bread, light herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, vanilla, and light-moderate coffee notes; with great strength. Taste of big milk chocolate, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, toffee, cream, lightly nutty coffee, toasted brown bread, light herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Slight herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, toffee, cream, lightly nutty coffee, toasted brown bread, light herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, vanilla, and light-moderate coffee flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Minimal dryness from roast/hop bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky, and slightly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a very nice American stout. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, vanilla, and light-moderate coffee flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. Nice big vanilla presence with balanced malt complexity; a bit lacking on coffee, but had solid presence. Very flavorful and almost dessert-like for the low ABV. Not as roasty as I expected for a stout, but still a very enjoyable offering.
