Keg at Piccadilly Tap. It pours jet black with a decent tan head. The nose is exactly as you might expect...big sweet raspberry and rich liquorice, liquorice allsorts, raspberry pip and some jam. The taste is big on the liquorice front, earthy roast, cracked black pepper, plenty of sweet ripe raspberry, quite juicy, earthy roast and some alcohol boost with a dry, chewy liquorice finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. I’m sure the achieved what they set out to do with this one. In your face, but the balance sort of works.

Keg at Port St. It pours cloudy sunset orange with a small white head. The nose is fresh, juicy, soft tangerine, orangina, honeysuckle and candied peel. The taste is bitter, soapy lemon, orange peel, waxy rind, some earth, toasty grain, grassy and mild hop astringency with a dry, waxy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Aroma is quite juicy, but the taste although rather bitter lacks depth.

Weak red color with a pink-ish head. Nice lacing. Some soap an berries in the aroma. Ok acidity and a pleasant sweetness. Soft carbonation. Some soap and berries in the flavor. It was actually qite fresh, but had some unpleasant weird notes.

Appearance: A bit unclear dark and subtle red color with a small off white layer. Do not bother if there are no head! No need for that.
Aroma: Cherry, vanilla, oak and fruity.
Palate: Full body. A bit sweet, and an ok sourness. Soft carbonation. Oily texture.
Taste: Pretty much the same as the aroma. Cherry, dried fruits, toffee and vanilla. Well masked alcohol.
Overall impression: Powerful sipper. To sweet to have a pint.

Keg at Piccadilly Tap. Good looking Gose with that pasty yellow appearance and thin head. Sour hits the nostrils with a hint of gooseberry taking off the edge. Tastes great with the sourness well balanced. Really good refreshing Gose. New brewery for me and on first impression a great start.
