Description
We brew unique beers, one barrel at a time

We also offer wines, hard ciders, a locally focused snack menu, and a generally laid back Wisconsin tavern vibe. In fact, the only thing we don’t offer are the answers to life’s greatest questions... although some say they can be found at the bottom of a glass.

12 ounce bottle from Total Wine Brookfield. So I've had the base beer and cider. 3.6 and 3.4 respectively. So we will see if this is the same, greater, or lesser than the sum of its parts (3.5 being the sum of its parts). Disappointed to see this isn't actually a sour. Hazy yellow, thin fizzy head that fades very quickly. Aroma of bright mildly funky apples, pale malt. Taste is apple juice, apple skins, hay, earth, pale malt. Thin-medium bodied. Seems like the apple dominates. Lesser than the sum for sure.

Aromas are fresh hops with a balance between resin and citrus along with a lot of caramel malt. Flavors are somewhat like nose but losing some of the hoppy qualities and getting mainly bitterness sweetness and carbonation. Okay body and finish.

12oz bottle. Sort of a culmination of many One Barrel IPAs. Deep, for the style at least, brown-copper body. Has some peachy mosaic or some relatively modern hop tones but smothered in an antiquated, caramel malt heavy, homebrewish body. Couple One Barrels lack of skill or finesse with Octopi's bland neutered mediocrity and this is what you get. It is drinkable, but a rather weak release for 2018.

A strong double IPA that leans more towards the resin profile which is not my favorite kind. Both Aroma and flavor display the resiny quality with some sweetness to help balance. Body is decent. Bittersweet finish. Decent enough beer.

Great Taste, 2017. Orange color and hazy. Earthy, lightly tart and dry but I cannot pick out specific flavors of the rose or cherries. It does not taste like it is sweetened which is good.
