Description
Founded in December 2009 by beer lovers trying to make work fun again, Clown Shoes has been redefining what craft beer should be. We strive to add our own little creative twists on under-represented styles and styles in need of change.
In late 2017, Clown Shoes joined Mass. Bay Brewing Company, makers of Harpoon and UFO. With the greater resources and capabilities, we have expanded our special release and barrel aging programs with over 25 one-off beers in 2018 alone. Clown Shoes continues to grow and innovate, while keeping our own personality and style to bring you interesting and unique beers.

Fruity, with apple and caramel notes coming from the odd malt used. I’ve never had a Bavarian-hop IPA I’d drink twice, and Reindeer Games does nothing to change that trend. Floral-vegetal notes don’t compliment the malts, and the finish has an odd tang that tastes more like an old IPA than it should. Pass.

Lacks the bitter piney punch of a good West Coast IPA. Instead, the resin is kept to the periphery, with citrus and berry notes overshadowing the caramel on the front end. Not bad, just not what I look for in the style.

Can. Clear pale golden with a foamy whitish head that flops fast, corn-grassy hops aroma, high carbonation, mildly bitter taste with corn flavor, thin body, medium finish. Light and refreshing.
