Filtered lighter than expected golden amber body, big beige head. Big coffee tones, fruity ale yeast, no oily tones. Very good, unique

Tap at Sweet Mullets. Amber-brown body, looks unfiltered. Respectable beige head. A pretty nice sour brown, with a little more of a zest sour kick. Medium bodied, some underlying borderline infection nuances. Milder than their previous sours, Lacto pink grapefruit, cherry sour tones. Kind of underwhelming, but enjoyable enough. OK, like a dialed down NG Sour.

Pint at Old Fashioned. Unfiltered burgundy-brown body. Steady creamy beige head. I’m not really a buckwheat beer expert, my only associations are the Rogue beer and Sara. Buttery caramel toffee...pretty shabby offering. Amber cream ale notes..really tastes like an unimpressive homebrew. Some resiny woody tones, but not enough to rescue it from the depths of sub-mediocrity. Buttery sweet, ringwood brutality.

Taster pour at Big Barrel Tararrel 2013. Unloved beer of the day by the local crew. Nail polish soy sauce aroma. Sweet spiked mix drink gone wrong. Not that good.

Tap at Sweet Mullets. Unfiltered brown-burgundy. No real lasting head, some thin, oily residue. Intense pineapple-ginger sourness. Very juicy, fruity, vinous. Leaning quite into the sour yeast, this is a really enjoyable Gruit. Funky alcohol tinged tropical pineapple. Quite unique, pretty good, but not really on par with World Class sours.

Tap at Sweet Mullets. Glowing filtered orange-amber body. Big, steady, off-white head. Massive pumpkin pie aroma. A really well done pumpkin beer, huge flavor but not too sticky or heavy. So heavily spiced and flavorful that it is hard to session, but overall it’s still better than your average Pumpkin beer. Right on.

Tap at Sweet Mullets. Hazy orange-brown. Big, steady, creamy off-white head. An interesting beer, very mild sour tones on top of the smooth malt makes an enjoyable combination. Some pumpkin pie spice undertones, but mild enough and well incorporated. Sort of odd, sort of good. OK. Funky vegetal tones. 5.4% when I was there.

Tap at Vintage. Unfiltered yellow-orange. Oily white head. Mellow and undercarbonated. lacks zest. Really quite uninspired, like a ginger version of the Jalapeno beer.

Tap at Vintage. Slightly cloudy golden-orange. Thin off-white head. Not much of an aroma for a IIPA, certainly more Belgian than IPA. Sweet and fruity. OK, but sort of unimpressive. Not a bad beer per se, but very brewpubby, not even competing for World Class accolades. Sort of ugly garbage undertones, like a 40oz with a lot of hops. The off tones come out more and more as it warms. Should have been abandoned. Sub par, unimpressive.

Tap at Vintage 3/25/12. Hazy orange-tan, looks unfiltered. Big steady creamy white head. Really allowing the rye to shine, this is a unique beer. Doughy soapy hop edges. The soapy, dry bitterness is sort of unappealing to me...I’m not really a fan of this one. Biting amber citrus. Kind of gross. maybe infected?
