On tap @ Broadway Brewery with jcnielsen. Pours a hazy golden orange appearance with an off white head. Tangerine, grapefruit citrusy, somewhat spicy aroma though I’m not sure I get rye. Definitely get more of the rye in the flavor. Slightly thick mouth feel. Smarties / candy / mango / pineapple flavor. Pretty good.

Snifter pour on tap at brewpub day after St. Patty’s day. Comes to me with hairline halo lacing.. Dark red brown in color. Too dark to see through. Aroma is dark sweet plums with some brown sugar. Sweet but not a bomb and the alcohol subdued. Low on hops. Some faint fruity bubblegum. Mouthfeel is low carbed slightly syrupy but not a thick mouthfeel. Works very well for a barleywine. Flavor is sweet, slight rotten fruit with plums, and a malt syrup sweetness. Goes down easy low on hops. Like it, sweet, syrupy but not too much. Low on hops with a fruity aspect.

Sampler at the brewpub. Strong mocha colored head sticks around for a long time and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is mineral-y and metallic. faint roasty malts as well. Flavor follows suit with too much stripped down flavor. Mineral-y and old coffee empty type roast. "Small’ tasting and finishes light. This needs some tweaking.

Sampler @ the brewpub. Not piny or spruce, a smaller brother to the DIPA, sweet bubblegum hops. Very delicious if you like a sweet hopcentric beer. Slightly sticky sweet on the cheeks. I could drink growlers of this.
