Bottle. Nose is coffee, lactose, slight smoke and wood. Taste is coffee, vanilla, lots of pine, oats, some plum and a light floral hop bitterness. A bit of a stale taste, the bitterness is a little sour in the finish. It’s an OK beer, but nothing to write home about. Manchester’s 563rd new craft brewer did not stand out for me.

Tap. Brewdog, Leeds. Very hazy, orange gold. Thin, lasting, sticky, white head. Peach hop. A bit earthy. Bit of onion skin. Drinks smooth, fresh, pithy bitter. Cleansing, and light dry. Finishes pithy, spritzy bitter. Dry close. Good stuff.

Bottle. Tall Boys, Leeds. Hazy, light copper colour. Minimal, white head. Creamy, milk chocolate. Milky coffee. Praline. Fruit Salad sweets. Liquorice root. Taste is light sweet. Turns fruity, coffee bean bitter. Bit of boozy warmth. Finishes soft, milky sweet, and coffee bean bitter. A bit poles apart, but not to any detriment. Very decent.

Bottle. Tall Boys, Leeds. Clear, very dark, chestnut brown. No head. Tart, woody, roast malts. Some coffee. Bit of cardboard. Taste is tart, dry, and light bitter. Some vanilla sweetness. Soft, slick palate. Bit greasy. It’s easy drinking, and doesn’t come across 8.3%, but there’s not much to shout about, after that.

Keg @ Kosmonaut, Manchester. Hazy yellow-orange with a thin head. Has a full tropical fruit nose with some orange involved here, but is less stated in its taste with a slight bitterness to this.
