Sampled from a bottle this beer poured a murky red-dark brown with a medium sized fluffy tan head that left good lacing. The aroma was malty with caramel, molasses and whiskey. The flavor was malty and sweet with caramel, molasses, fig, raisin and whiskey. Very long finish. Full bodied and smooth.

16 ounce can. Hazy amber orange color. Small bubbly white head. Earthy, yeasty grainy nose. Tangy sour citrus malt flavor. Notes of apricot and wheat. Some spicy notes. Cardamom and grains of paradise come to mind. Middle has tart dry notes with a hint of gooseberries. Tart, dry finish.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a dark honey color with a large foamy white head that left excellent lacing. The aroma was faint overall with a sweetish toffee note. The flavor was sourish caramel, yeast, a touch of phenol and a hint of tobacco. Medium length finish. Medium bodied and smooth.
